I love decorating just one shelf or mantel for the holidays. It’s less overwhelming and budget-friendly, which I really appreciate. Concentrating on one area allows for creativity without clutter, and it’s a fun way to involve the whole family in the decorating process. Here are some cute Halloween ideas we used last year on my daughter's bookshelf!
We selected the following items to decorate with:
- Halloween books (available for purchase or at your local library)
- Paper bats, which create a bold visual for just a few dollars, or you can easily make your own from black construction paper
- Printable pennant flags, wall art, and a Halloween countdown from our shop
- A Halloween mug and a black cat stuffed animal You can find everything linked here.
My daughter has enjoyed this decoration throughout the month, and regularly updating the library books has helped maintain her engagement and excitement.
We would love to see the creative ways you style yours.
