Kathy and Jody met while working at a digital scrapbooking company in 2012. Little did they know they’d go from being work friends to close mom friends—with two girls each, all the same ages!

When Kathy launched SugarPiePaper in 2021 and needed help, she immediately thought of Jody and all the impressive birthday parties she had thrown for her daughters. Jody was thrilled to join the adventure, and together they’ve been dreaming up party magic ever since.

Kathy is a Seattle-based freelance graphic designer with a passion for kids’ party invitations and holiday celebration ideas. When she’s not designing, you’ll find her caring for her girls and dogs, playing Pickleball, or whipping up healthy recipes for her husband and kids.

Jody is a proud girl mom and creative at heart. By day, she’s an accountant; by night, she’s a calligrapher, designer, and Cricut guru. Creating everyday moments of joy with her daughters and husband is what lights her up—and she can’t wait to help you celebrate, too!
